LINCOLN TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT

 

The Lincoln Township Fire Department, located in Ashton, was founded in 1945. The Department is located on the corner of 11 Mile Road and 210th Avenue, 6 miles north of Reed City, Michigan.

Before 1945 the township relied on the community Bucket Brigade.

The Department started Medical First Responder Rescue in 2006.

The Department covers 90 square miles, consisting of Lincoln Township and Cedar Township; both located in Osceola County, as well as the northern half of Pinora Township in Lake County.

The Department is made up of 24 members that are Fire Fighters, Medical First Responders, EMT`s and Paramedics. 

A minimum of 48 hours of fire training and 30 hours of medical training is required by each member. Members are certified in Fire Fighter 1 and 2, Vehicle Extrication, School Bus Extrication, Ice Rescue Technician, Water Rescue, Haz-Mat, NIMS, CPR/AED, Disaster Training, Wild Land Fire Fighting, Emergency Divers Training, and more.

The members of Lincoln Township Fire & Rescue are also members of the Ashton Fireman’s Association. 

Lincoln Township Fire Department has 7 trucks in its fleet; including: 2 Engines, 2 Tenders, 2 Grass Rig. and 1 Rescue Rig. The department also has Jaws of Life and hopes to have Open Water and Ice Rescue Equipment soon.

Table and Chair Rental:

The Lincoln Township Fire Department will rent out 5 tables and 30 chairs for $30.00 per day, if additional chairs are needed, they will be $1.00 per chair.
