A violation of the Open Meetings Act (OMA) also known as MCL 15.261 et seq, took place during the month of May.
The OMA requires elected officials to elected officials to conduct business in an open meeting environment to ensure transparency.
The violation was among a quorum of board members using electronic devices outside of a properly noticed meeting
site to discuss or decide on a on a business venture.
